Near the Summit

When troubles surmount

like mountains and your path

seems too steep to climb,

Pause at the foot and remember:

We travel one day at a time.

With each footstep directed upward,

We're closer to our goal

And will find sweet rest

Near the summit...

As the shades of night unfold.
